To celebrate membership month, I am asking all District 6450 Rotarians to think of one person they will like to invite to be a member of their club and them to take action and bring that one person to a Rotary Function.

District Membership Matching Grants.  Stay tuned for mini-grants to help your club fund a membership drive and membership event.

Increasing the number of Woman in District 6450.  A task force to look at ways to increase the number of women in our district is being form.  If interested in participating contact DG Pedro Cevallos-Candau or DGE debi Ross.


For an updated list of District and Club events & functions please look at the District Events & Calendar and on the district Home Page.  Similarly, to add one of your events to the calendar, we recommend first posting on your club's calendar and then email and it will also be listed at the district site with a link to your club. To keep up to date with District news visit the District web site, there are over 10,000 visitors per month.

Governor Nominating Committee.  Is looking for candidates for District Governor for the year 2021-2022.  Deadline to apply is November 5th.  Information and Application.

District Fall Training.  Will be held on Saturday October 20th at the Marriott Burr Ridge Hotel.  This is a free event open to all District 6450 Members. District Fall Training - 10/20/2018


CLUB SECRETARIES -- Updating membership rosters in your district provided website for your club.  This is important because the District disseminates information based on the contacts available in your website (Club Express system).  Additionally, all members can update their own directory information after logging in to your club; add a photo, company logo, bio, Facebook and LinkedIn links and more. 

Sign up for an account in MyRotary.  Only 40% of our District 6450 members have signed for a MyRotary account with Rotary International.  Open your account today.  Go to Rotary International and select MyRotary at the top of the page.  Then register for an online account using the email address that was registered with your membership.  In MyRotary all members can explore Rotary information, register for special topic newsletters, see your club goals and reports, make donations directly to The Rotary Foundation, use the Brand Center for making custom club brochures and flyers and so much more...


The Charitable Foundation of Rotary District 6450.   Is open for business.  The purpose is to assist clubs that do not have their own foundation be able to manage charitable projects and have donors obtain tax deductible contributions.  A big thank you to PDG Ron Broida for his efforts setting up the Foundation.  For information go to Charitable Foundation or contact David Phelps in the Rotary Office.

Donations to the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.  The Donations made by Rotarians from District 6450 to the Rotary Foundation hit an all time high of $300,232 for 2017-2018, this is an increase of $47,840 or 19% over the prior year.  Congratulations to PDG Scott McAdam and Foundation Chair DGN Chuck Corrigan for your support AND to all the Clubs and Rotarians who contributed last year.  The average gift was $166.89.   For the Polio Plus Fund, $52,240 was donated. Additionally, members gave $111,589 to the Endowment Fund for a total giving of $534,462 for the year to the Rotary Foundation.
