Governor Nominating Committee. 
 Is looking for candidates for District Governor for the year 2021-2022. Deadline to submit applications is October 29th at 5:00 pm.  Information and Application.

District Fall Training. 
 Will be held on Saturday October 20th at the Marriott Burr Ridge Hotel.  This is a free event open to all District 6450 Members.  Our largest training day will include Pre-PETS, special training for AGs and training in many other areas.  Please register.  District Fall Training - 10/20/2018

World Polio Day.
  Is October 24.  One Day – One Focus: Ending Polio.  Plan your Club celebration.  No event is too big or too small.  Find resources to help you plan or promote your event at:  Remember that Rotarians can triple their contributions to the Rotary International Foundation by earmarking their contributions to the End Polio Now campaign.  For more information contact Nancy Fleming, District Polio Chair or visit the district homepage for tips from Nancy.

One Rotary Summit.
  Come to learn about the synergy of Membership, Public Image and Humanitarian Service.  It is scheduled for the morning of Saturday, December 1st. and will be moderated by PDG Pat Merryweather.  Stay tuned, details to follow.


District Membership Matching Grants.  Will be available soon to help clubs fund membership drives and membership events. 

Increasing the number of Woman in District 6450.
 A task force to look at ways to increase the number of women in our district is being form.  If interested in participating contact DG Pedro Cevallos-Candau or DGE debi Ross.

Club Secretaries -- Updating membership rosters in your district provided website for your club
. This is important because the District disseminates information based on the contacts available in your website (Club Express system).  Additionally, all members can update their own directory information after logging in to your club; add a photo, company logo, bio, Facebook and LinkedIn links and more.

Sign up for an account in MyRotary
.  As of today, only 765 members out of 1736, or 44% of our District 6450 members, have signed for a MyRotary account with Rotary International.  Open your account today.  Go to Rotary International and select MyRotary at the top of the page.  Then register for an online account using the email address that was registered with your membership.  In MyRotary all members can explore Rotary information, register for special topic newsletters, see your club goals and reports, make donations directly to The Rotary Foundation, use the Brand Center for making custom club brochures and flyers and so much more... How to Create a My Rotary Account.

Special Grants – Partners in Peace.  
Special District Grants up to $1,000 are available to Clubs for Peace in Action projects!  Requests due by October 22, 2018.  More information and request form can be found, Here.

 Many young professionals value the mentoring that Rotary provides, as well as the opportunity to establish themselves as leaders in the community. Discover five values your club can emphasize to appeal to young professionals.  Here are five values that attract young professionals.


Have you registered the youth in your community for RYLA?  4 Day Event! Friday Oct 5 - Monday Oct 8, 2018 at Outdoor Wisconsin Leadership School, Williams Bay, WI.  The registration deadline is October 1st.  Students are sponsored by Rotary Clubs; $335 Per Student. RYLA Student Application Form 2018.


District 6450 Inbound and Outbound Exchanges.  This year we have seven inbound and seven outbound students.  Rotary Youth Exchange is a great opportunity for young people to fully immerse themselves in their host's culture, allows them to become global citizens. Short Term Exchanges.
 At the request of several Clubs, the District is actively exploring implementing Short Term Exchanges.  These exchanges will be Family-to-Family and will start in the Rotary year 2019-2020.  This year we are making arrangements with District 6440 to help us with the exchanges.  If interested in learning more or helping, please contact Ade Onayemi.
